Chapter Five – Leaving
Night falls. A car engine revs up and pulls out into the dark streets of Boston. The Actress vows to make a life for herself. Still, as she barrels down route 84 towards New York City, there is a heaviness inside her that persists. Years of being mocked for her appearance and her unusual body have taken their toll on her psyche. She begins to internalize this pain as she speeds towards the city underneath a darkening sky.
lyrics
Maybe I’ll run away tonight / drive till I reach the morning light / leave the sorrow and death behind / maybe I’ll go to New York tonight
How do you run from yourself?
Maybe I’ll run away tonight / make myself a new name tonight
